Monster Jam Triple Threat Series® comes to Sacramento

If you missed the action today, there's still time to get your tickets for Jan 19-20,2020

January 10, 2020

We just got back home from MONSTER JAM down at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.  Talk about the best TGIF fun my family has had in a longtime! This was my 4yr old daughter's 1st experience at any kind of race at all and I have to say this was the perfect 1st experience for her! My 4 adult children grew up enjoying all the thrills of a great Monster Jam race, and I have to say we are definitely a Grave Digger® fan family. Since this was my daughter's first race I made sure to bring the noise cancelling headphones, but was very surprised to see that if I would have forgotten them I could pick 1 up there. First things first had to stop off at the photo booth to take a pic of the kids sitting inside a frame that looks like the interior of a truck, then they got to pick which truck they wanted to be sitting in, bet you can guess who they picked.... YEP Grave Digger®!

This packed full of action race had the kids on the edge of their seats laughing so hard, and yelling for more! The drivers went head to head with the Monster Jam Speedsters, ATVs and of course Monster Jam trucks. My daughter thought it was so cool that the trucks could "flip over like that" during the Freestyle and "mom can we do that in our car?" She got to a point where she would get mad if they didn't flip over.. Another favorite was what she called "the bunny hops".. You could see all the kids eyes light up with joy during the 2 Wheel Skills Challenge™, and all agreed that Earth Shaker won (which he did). When Megalodon® lost his whole shell she said "Mom that one lost his clothes", gave me a chuckle... The Donut Competition made everyone get dizzy and we had several favorites, El Toro® because he lost a horn and fell over, Grave Digger® because well he is just awesome, our favorite and did sooooo many, and Soldier Fortune™ Black Ops because he just kept going like the energizer bunny and got up on 2 wheels at the end!

One thing they had that I was not used to was where everyone can become part of the action by voting in real-time for the truck they want to win in the two-wheel and freestyle competitions on their smartphones. I have to say that was pretty cool!!! The Overall Event Champion for the night was........ Drum roll.......

Grave Digger® and I have to say that this family was thrilled and very tired  from such a thrilling evening...

A tip for families: bring your kids PJ's and while you are sitting waiting for your turn to get out of your parking spot, go ahead and get the kiddos changed. You will be happy you did when you get home!!!

If you missed this evening, tickets are still on sale and I promise your family will have a blast!
