Disney On Ice "Mickey's Search Party" was a big hit for my family!

February 14, 2020

I have been taking my family to Disney On Ice performances since my oldest (31) was born. Disney has always been a love of mine as I grew up in Southern Calif and have been going to Disneyland since the days you could get in FREE and just buy a book of tickets for rides. My Mother was as old as Mickey Mouse and my older sister is as old as Disneyland. So I have been going to Disney On Ice as long as I can remember, and of course when I started a family I made sure they got to experience the same Magic and memories of a spectacular show as I did.

This year was by far the best show that my family has ever seen. Disney On Ice "Mickey's Search Party" was filled with amazing world-class skating, high-flying acrobatics routines, stilt walkers and unexpected stunts by world-class gymnastic performers ! The audience interaction was perfect for keeping everyone interacting and having a blast. This year's show was a hit with both boys and girls opposed to focusing on just princesses in shows of the past. The Magic Meter was a hit with all kids, Toy story balls were being bounced around by the crowd, an interactive “wave” went through the whole arena, then bubbles and snow was falling from the ceiling, children got to rub the Genie's Lamp and help the characters, the show as a whole is engaging and pure magic for all.

Our Family started out the evening with a surprise visit with Minnie Mouse which thrilled my 4 year old!

The evening starts  with  Capt'n Hook and the pirates trapping Tinkerbell in the lantern and stealing her magic. The only way Tinkerbell can be released is by Mickey, Minnie, Donald and and Goofy filling the Magic Meter up again.

With that, the Mickey, Minnie, Donald search for Seven Clues which leads the audience on a musical journey through the their favorite Disney  Characters and movies. Beauty and The Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Toy Story, Moana, Coco and Frozen were all present to delight the audience with our favorite songs that we love, beautiful Aerial Stunts, and animation screen, poles that swung 2 dancers back and forth (one of my favorite to watch).

My children's favorite songs were Moana’s “How Far I’ll Go”,  Coco’s “Remember Me” and Frozen "Let it Go". It was so fun to watch them dancing in their seat and singing (sometimes yelling) along.

My favorite was Miguel and the colorful world of Coco had to be my favorite, the colors, the dancer's, the acrobats, stilt walkers and the 2 poles just had me in a trance!

In the end the Magic Meter was filled and Tinkerbell was saved.

If you have not seen this show you really do not know what you are missing. Disney On Ice really has outdid their self and created a show that is perfect for the whole entire family. My daughter loved it so much I am thinking of taking her again before it ends!!!
