Drew Beans Farms

An Apple Hill Destination

By By Adrielyn Christi Publisher Macaroni KID Placerville July 28, 2022

Nestled in the rolling hills of beautiful the majestic community of growers called Apple Hill, there is Drew Bean Farms. This magnificent farm was originally slated to open in Franklin Tennessee. Lucky for us there was a change of plans. The owners Nina Medeiros and her husband Andrew Trenev, happen to see an ad placed in Lands Of America for the now location of Drew Bean Farms. Per Nina, she couldn't get the property out of her head and told her husband, "this is where we need to be, I just have a feeling". So in 2020, they purchased the property and started major renovations which weren't complete until October of 2021. They, unfortunately, opened late in the Apple Hill season but that didn't stop the visitors.

Nina and Andrew's mission is to create a destination venue like Napa. At the farm, you can find a great selection of wine, beer, desserts, and more. It's not just another Apple Hill farm, it's a very modern farmhouse vibe with tables and chairs, and fire pits to sit around and enjoy your glass of wine or beer along with your favorite pie. In addition to the fabulous dessert menu, you can enjoy a meal from the tasty food menu in which they have both sweet and savory gluten-free options. The kids can run and play around as it is a family-friendly farm. As you explore the property, you'll find they have a vineyard, a huge building that Nina and Andrew will use to eventually host weddings and many other events. They'd also like to eventually incorporate baby showers, camps, and retreats of all kinds.

Come in and enjoy the many fruitful and unique pies that they offer such as blackberry apple sour cream, raspberry apple cream cheese, traditional apple, dutch apple, harvest delight, pumpkin, traditional pumpkin pies, creme brûlée french toast, homemade cookies, and my favorite; Oma's apple cake. Starting Saturday, July 20th the farm will reopen for weekends only Sat 10:00 am – 06:00 pm and Sun 10:00 am – 05:00 pm during August.

Keep in touch for the big opening day for the Apple Hill season!
